PARTS OF SPEECH

Nouns are defined in Pabappa as words which cannot occur without a case marker at the end. Nouns describe a person, place, or thing. Words that in English are pronouns are represented in Pabappa simply as nouns, but they can still be called pronouns for the sake of convenience.

Verbs are defined as words which cannot occur without a verb marker at the end. They describe actions, processes, or states of being.

Adjectives are historically verbs that evolved special contracted suffixes and then came to function differently as well. Adjectives serve the role of adverbs as well and usually follow the word they modify.

Pabappa has a variety of prefixes, suffixes, and particles which serve various assorted functions.
